This page includes a mix of traditional botanical watercolours and examples of etched and engraved work.
Traditional botanical watercolours take a long time to complete and there is a process to work through even before you begin to paint, this can make them expensive.
The printmaking process to make botanical artwork is also a lengthy process, but once the copper or zinc plate is completed it can be easily reproduced. The ability to 'edition' hand made prints allows multiples of the original artwork to be produced with the obvious beneficial effect on availability and pricing.
Also, as an alternative I have my paintings professionally reproduced and printed to the highest archival quality. These prints are limited to a small edition number.
